Pay it Forward...with Sprinkles Cupcakes

I've always loved the idea of "Paying it Forward" but I normally associated it with a simple act of kindness and not necessarily a gift.

And then, just like that, Sprinkles Cupcakes rocked my world.

Sprinkles originally started in Beverly Hills, but they now have shops all over the U.S. They launched a "Pay it Forward" campaign for Hill staffers this fall.  The rules?  Email Sprinkles with the name and address of a Congressional office of the opposite party affiliation.  The reward?  Sprinkles will deliver a dozen of their perfect cupcakes to that office for free.

Now don't worry, once you send a box of cupcakes to another office, they are bound by the laws of all that is sugary and sweet to return the favor.  (I mean you don't have to, but come on!)

So, a big thank you to SPRINKLES for making the Hill a little less partisan this fall.

It's harder to disagree with a dark chocolate cupcake perched on your desk.

  1. I would have way too much fun with this! Zach told me they got Sprinkles cupcakes in the office, but I didn't know it was through this "Pay It Forward" campaign. Pretty awesome.
